Proctor Academy Off-Campus Program in Peru

Dear Family,

Proctor’s Off-Campus Programs are not limited to the school year but continue into the summer months. Eleven students and two faculty members just returned from a 12-day trip exploring Peru, and later this summer, students and faculty will head out on our Rosebud Summer Service trip (read about last summer's trip on The Buzz).

While participating in our Off-Campus Programs, students learn about the world by immersing themselves in their surroundings: studying geology and water rights in the American Southwest, crewing a 134-foot ship while learning marine biology in the North Atlantic, and living with host families and immersing themselves in the local culture in Spain and Costa Rica. They come away with the kind of deep understanding that only place-based, experiential learning makes possible, while learning resilience, independence, the ability to work as part of a team, and a deeper sense of who they are. Read spring term reflections from Mountain Classroom, Proctor en Segovia, Global Art Classroom, and Proctor en Monteverde.

As we prepare for your student's arrival at Proctor this fall, we have a few important updates and reminders to share with your family!

New Student Proctor Gmail Accounts

Last week, new students received an email invitation from Proctor Tech Support with login credentials and instructions for setting up their Proctor Google Workspace and Gmail accounts. Please make sure to follow those instructions, including logging in and setting a new password. If the invitation did not arrive, check the spam folder first, then contact Proctor Tech Support.

It is essential to set up access now as student Google Workspace Accounts serve as a single sign-on (SSO) for many of our systems, including Khan Academy (summer math work) and the Summer Literacy reading assignment.

    Final Transcripts

Thank you to all the families who have already submitted their final transcript requests! Please complete the Final Transcript Release Form and send it to your most recent school as soon as possible. All transcripts must be received by June 30.

      Parent and Student Portal Access

Before portal access can be opened to new families, the Academic Dean's Office needs to complete scheduling our returning students and advance them to the 2026-2027 school year. Parent and Student Portal access will become available for new families by the end of June. We will let you know as soon as the portals are live.

        Magnus Health and Student Portals

Magnus Health forms will be accessible via a link from the Parent Portal once access goes live by the end of June. If you have questions about student health forms in the meantime, please contact the Health Center.

A current physical is required as part of your family’s health forms packet. We recognize that these can take time to schedule, so please plan ahead and book your student’s physical appointment early. New students must have a physical prior to arriving on campus for Registration Day and Wilderness Orientation.

          Course Placement Update

As we shared in previous communications, our Admissions Team is partnering with the Academic Dean's Office to place all 9th and 10th grade students in appropriate classes based on prior transcripts, teacher recommendations, and application materials.

Christine Piquette and the Academic Dean's Office will reach out to 11th, 12th, and PG students and their families by the end of June to share course options and gather their input.

Final course placements for all new students will be available via the Parent and Student Portals by mid-July.

Please let us know if you have any questions! You can reach us by email at admissions@proctoracademy.org or by phone at 603-735-6652.
